These sessions are weekly coached circuit-based training aimed at building core strength and stability. This is essential to maintaining good technique and posture as well as injury prevention.
Physical preparation, or prep for short, consists of a variety of exercises such as squats, crunches and push-ups.This training is aimed at developing core strength and stability, with a focus on endurance running. Other physical prep exercises focus on developing athletes’ agility, balance and coordination skills, particularly important for coping with the demands of off-road running.
The session are aimed at all abilities. Our coaches can advise on how exercises can be adjusted and tailored to athlete’s abilities. They take place in a relaxed and friendly environment usually with a good bit of fun and laughter thrown in.
Monday night physical prep takes place in the Chippenham Sports Club Multi Sports Air-Dome. Sessions start at 6.30pm and last approximately one hour. We charge £1 for members and £2 for non-members to cover the costs of Dome hire.
