Slaughterford 9 Success

Kelly Wariner News

Sunday saw near perfect weather conditions for our 399 finishers this year. Blue skies and crisp air made for a hotly contested race.

Our winner was again Chris Macmillan from Weston AC who ran clear to first place 1 minute ahead of the 2nd place with a time of 56.03!  The course record is still held by Tom Fisher from AVR in a time of 52.38 in 2012.

Local running club Corsham had an impressive 33 club members turn out for the race, hotly contested by Team Bath AC and Weston AC.

Feedback as always has been phenomenally positive. The marshal support and encouragement on the route is outstanding. £300 was raised from teas, coffees and cakes for local homeless charity Doorway.

2019 saw our highest number of finishers ever since starting the race and with a race capacity of 400, 399 was pretty close to the line!

Bravo everyone and thank you again for all your support in making this possibly the best off road race in Wiltshire!
