Kilometre 6
Continue along the brook to the gate onto the road.
As seems to have become a tradition with Chippenham Harriers events, the first bit is downhill. This gate is 66m above sea level, precisely 120m lower than the start. Oh dear. And you thought you were running well. The master of the Universe is about to give way to something altogether less impressive.
The good news about this up-hill stretch, which takes you up to 180m in just under a kilometre, is that it's on road. We've spared you the uphill muddy slog of Slaughterford.
