London Marathon Club Places

Kelly Wariner News

If you entered the London Marathon ballot, you should find out if you’ve been successful this week! If you don’t get a place but would still like to run the marathon, you have the option of applying for a club place. We are expecting to have four club places on offer. To apply, you will need to keep your Proof of Rejection letter and write a letter to the Committee explaining why you believe you should be given a place. You must also have been a fully paid up member since the start of the membership year.

Bear in mind that the Committee will consider the following when awarding places:

  • The member’s contribution/participation in the organising of Club events, be that in the context of races and/or social activities.
  • The number of Club Championship races entered prior to December.
  • Previous allocation on a London Marathon Club place.

Send a copy of your Proof of Rejection letter and your written letter of application directly to . You’ll have until the end of October / mid November to do this – we’ll let you know a deadline in due course. Good luck!
