Chippenham Half Marathon News

Kelly Wariner News

After an outstanding contribution for the last 10 years, the Chippenham Half Marathon committee has decided to stand down and pass the mantel to someone new. Ian Wiggins, Kevin Napier and Chris Constable have been the three key people to drive the Chippenham Half Marathon forward since it began. They have done an incredible job and have ensured its success for the past nine years.

The other significant race organisation contributors that deserve a mention are…

  • John Duckenfield, who was on the committee for the first six years and made a huge contribution to its organisation
  • Paul Dodd, who was also on the first CHM committee and is now a race director for the Severn Bridge Half Marathon
  • Miles Wilson, for his contributed to the race’s ongoing planning and organisation

So what next?

Paul Wilcock has offered to step in and over the next few months will be supported by Chris Constable to prepare the 2018 event that will also be the 10th Anniversary event.

Chris Oakley our Club Chairman would like to thank Ian Wiggins, Kevin Napier and Chris Constable and looks forward to supporting Paul going forward as he builds his new event team.
